A mother is asking for answers after her 19 year old daughter was killed in a car crash while traveling back to Waco, Tx last month.
According to reports, 19 year old La’Fairreya Sumpter, was part of a trail ride group called Getlive Riders, based out of Waco, Texas.
The victims mother, Tameka Sumpter, stated that her daughter attended a trail ride in Italy, Tx on October 23 with five friends from the group.
While traveling back to Waco later that night the driver of the vehicle La’Fairreya was riding in lost control and veered off a bridge.
When emergency crews arrived La’Fairreya was pronounced dead at the scene. The other five passengers were transported to area hospitals where they all suffered non life threatening injuries.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, no one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The victims mother says she is deeply saddened because her daughter considered the Getlive Riders family. She says the fact that no one has reached out to her since the crash is hurtful.
Nobody in the car has approached me and told me anything from what I hear is everybody was sleeping in the car, all six people fell sleep in the car.”
La’Fairreya is survived by her 8 month old son, family and friends.
