Texas Mayor Breaks Her Own -Stay-At-Home Order For The Nail Salon

Southern Texas city Beaumont Mayor, Becky Ames apologized for violating her own orders of self isolation when she took a sudden trip to the nail salon Tuesday.
A photo was released showing the mayor wearing a face mask while seated at the table with her hands inside a bowl of water. There were many that were outraged at this incident,
On Thursday, Mayor Becky Ames stated her apology and her reason for going to the salon as well. “As an elected official I am held to a higher standard, I regret my action that day. I am honestly sorry and I pray that you will forgive me,” was stated by Mayor Becky Ames.
As for the reason she went to the salon, beforehand she had already talked to the nail salon owner about how to remove an old manicure set. She had said she needed acetone and the owner of the salon said they would leave it out for her.
Unexpectedly dangling the solution was left in a bowl on the counter inside the salon waiting for Ames.
Mayor Becky Ames states that she was only in there for approximately ten minutes and did nothing further with her nails. The owner backed her statement with the help of surveillance tapes.
