33-year-old Tanasia Bush, of Harris County, Texas, stabbed her boyfriend during a fight, and then, he fatally shot her. Authorities say that the woman died from her wounds.
Police say that the incident occurred on Saturday in the 5500 block of Lakota Trail. That’s when the pair had a physical altercation following a dispute. Bush then stabbed her boyfriend. He then shot Bush.
Both individuals were taken to medical facilities. On Saturday, the man was released after receiving treatment for wounds to his arm.
Then, on Sunday, Bush succumbed to her wounds.
Phillip Hickman has been named as the boyfriend and had cooperated with authorities and given a written account as to what occurred. Deputies have noted that the details matched witnesses’ accounts at the location.
When the investigation was completed, the case was supposed to go to a grand jury, but Hickman was said to be in distress, and his family couldn’t locate him.
On Sunday, they found him at a school parking lot, but when his relatives walked up, he fatally shot himself. Hickman was declared deceased at the scene.
