Texas Juvenile Correctional Officer Terminated And Placed In Custody After Providing Teen Offender With Cell Phone

42-year-old Amy Prescott is an ex-juvenile  correctional officer that was placed in jail on March 31, 2023.

Prescott worked at the McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility, in Texas, and was charged with prohibited substances and items in a correctional facility.

Reports indicate that Prescott turned herself in following an arrest warrant related to an investigation into a matter that happened on March 12.

She is said to have smuggled a cell phone into the McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility by concealing it in her attire while going through security.

Prescott was then seen sliding something under the door of a cell belonging to an 18-year-old inmate. On March 15, the phone was located during a routine check.

While reviewing the matter, authorities found a recording that is said to show Prescott buying the phone at a business in Bellmead, Texas, on March 11.

Prescott’s supposed crime is a third-degree felony which could result in a $10,000 fine and imprisonment of up to 10 years.
