Texas Inmate Requests His Execution Be Postponed In Order To Donate Kidney

4kviews

Ramiro Gonzales is a Texas inmate who is supposed to be put to death in less than two weeks. He has now requested that his execution be postponed in order for him to donate a kidney.

Gonzales is set to receive a lethal injection on July 13. This is for the shooting and killing of Bridget Townsend, 18. She was a woman from southwest Texas who had gone missing in 2001. Her remains were found almost two years later.

On Wednesday, a letter addressed to Governor Greg Abbott requested a “30-day reprieve so that the inmate could be a living donor.” It would be helpful for someone who is desperately in need of a kidney transplant.

His lawyers also asked for a 180-day reprieve from the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, in regards to the kidney donation.

“There is no doubt in mind that Ramiro’s desire to be an altruistic kidney donor isn’t motivated by a last-minute attempt to stop or delay his execution. I will go to my grave believing in heart that this is something that Ramiro wants to do to help make his soul right with his God,” stated a clergyman who has been in communication with Gonzales.

наиболее заметное внешнее расхождение – сниженный вырез
