Texas DPS Expanding Business Hours In January

Beginning in 2021 some Texas Department of Public Safety offices will be extending their hours.
The new hours will begin January 4 and the new time expansion will be Monday-Thursday 7am to 7pm and Friday 7am to 5:30pm.
They have also implemented two Saturday’s at most DPS locations for the remainder of the year to help people with renewals, replacements, and election identification certificates. Customers whose licenses expired while offices were closed should make an appointment as soon as possible.
DPS says they are now accepting appointments for the extended office hours.
The offices were selected based on the volume of customer service.
