A Harris County couple, who have a 2-week-old baby together, are charged with kidnapping after allegedly holding an 18-year-old girl captive.

On July 16, Deputies responded to a residence in the 6900 block of Foxmont Lane for reports of a woman in distress. When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old girl with injuries on her wrists and feet that coincided with marks from someone being restrained.

The victim told authorities that she was held captive for about a month at a home nearby but managed to escape and run to a neighbor’s for help.

An investigation into the allegations led police to the home where 31-year-old Jose Reyes and 29-year-old Jaqueline Macias were living. According to investigators, Reyes convinced the girl to go to his home where she then came in contact with Macias.

The details aren’t clear at this time, but arrest reports state the 2 suspects then tied the girl up, put her in a room, and held her captive for approximately 30 days. She was chained, zip tied, and sexually assaulted during that period.

The victim escaped through a bedroom window after getting the restraints loose when Reyes and Macias left the residence on Sunday.

Reyes and Macias are each charged with Kidnapping, however, more charges are expected to follow. Reyes’s bond is set at $100,000 and Macias’s is set at $50,000.
