Texas Bans Texting While Driving

Beginning Friday September 1,2017 it will be illegal to text while driving. If you are caught texting while driving you could face a fine up to $99 for the first offense and $200 for repeated offenders.
Officers in the Garland area have already started monitoring and enforcing the new law.
They also said they will be pullin over anyone they think is texting while driving. Here are just a few things they will be looking for when pulling you over.
*People who are driving with their heads down
*People who are swerving
*People who are on their phones reading or sending texts.
*People who are driving with their knees
Authorities are hoping this will decrease the number of wrecks on the roads.
