Authorities are looking into a suspected murder-suicide that may have occurred on Christmas Day in Palmer, Texas.
Officers were dispatched to a home on Poinsettia Drive shortly before 7:30 p.m., where they found a deceased man and woman.The victims have been identified as Sierra Roarx, 31, from Palmer, and Byron Olivere, 55, from Waxahachie. Initial investigations indicate that Olivere shot Roarx before taking his own life.
The bodies have been sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination.
Grand Prairie police confirmed that Olivere was employed by the Grand Prairie Police Department from 2002 to 2018, with his most recent role as a property room technician.
