A Texas A&M Texarkana baseball player was struck by a stray bullet during a game over the weekend.
Matthew Delaney, of Princeton, got shot in the chest on Saturday after a gun was fired outside of a residence 400 yards away from the stadium.
According to police, an argument outside of the home escalated into a fight and at some point, a gun was fired.
Delaney suffered two fractured vertebrae and a collapsed lung as well as partial paralysis in his leg.
Following an investigation and the locating of shell casings, Yankeengea Smith, 49, Nathan Moore, 19, and Marcell Beaver, 19, were arrested on drug and weapons charges.
A fourth suspect, 20-year-old Demarco Banks, who authorities believe may possibly be the shooter, later turned himself in on a Deadly Conduct charge. A fifth suspect, Kamauri Butler, 17, remains at large and is wanted for aggravated assault.
