On Wednesday, Tarrant County took away the permit for a Fort Worth night club following a recent stabbing and shooting.
Since the end of May, Temptations Cabaret has been closed. Now, because it is located within 1,000 feet of residences and another sexually-based business, it might not be possible for them to reopen.
The establishment is stationed along I-30 in Tarrant County. For several years, their permit was renewed. Only after recent problems, a review of the regulations have taken place.
Manny Ramirez, the County Commissioner, began to demand a review after two people suffered stab wounds at the club, and four people were involved in a shooting where one person died, in May.
Ramirez recalled investigating criminal offenses at the location when he was an officer with FWPD and was shocked to find that the business was still up and running.
The lawyer representing the business noted that the company has been held under a 1970s permit and was grandfathered in by guidelines at that time. Thus, they don’t have to adhere by regulations set forth by county leaders.
The District Attorney’s Office has already filed a nuisance lawsuit against Temptations. Documents note that law enforcement officials had been to the location more times in 2022 than any other bar or club in the vicinity.
Gross place with gross people.
