Dallas police are investigating a shooting that has left a teenage girl in critical condition.
On December 30, officers responded to a crash on Dallas Parkway near Trinity Mills Road around 11 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered a girl in the vehicle with a gunshot wound to her abdomen. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition.
Authorities noted that several other teenagers were present in the car but did not suffer any injuries.
Currently, police are working to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
It remains unclear whether the girl was shot by someone inside the vehicle or from outside.
No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation is ongoing.
