A teenager is recovering after being attacked by several women at a Chili’s in Louisiana over the weekend.
The incident happened Sunday when Kelsey Wallace,17 was working at the Chili’s on Constitution Ave and a large group of 13 walked in to be seated.
Wallace explained to the crowd that due to the Covid protocol at her job she could not sit all of them together.
She told them she could only sit six at a table and the group became angry and demanded to see the manager.
While attempting to get the manager that’s when she was attacked.
Wallace said, “She pushed me. And when she pushed me, all I knew was to push her back. I reacted. That’s when her and her daughters, they all came. And they’re grown women. I’m 17-years-old. They’re like, 20, 30, and the woman that pushed me looked like she was 40. So I’m standing there, they’re on me, beating me. I’m standing there trying to hit them, trying to get all of them off me. And the lady she takes a wet floor sign and slams it in my eye. And I had blood rushing everywhere.”
The suspects fled in separate cars before officers could arrive.
Wallace was transported to a nearby hospital where she had to have five stitches.
She also said the girls ripped out a patch of her hair during the fight.
Authorities obtained surveillance footage from the incident and Wallace filed a police report stating she just wants those responsible to be held accountable for their actions.
“I want them in jail. I don’t think they should get away with this,” Wallace said, adding that she is still employed by the restaurant but does not plan on returning.
