Teen Faces Capital Murder Charges In Triple Homicide

3kviews

An 18-year-old is facing capital murder charges following a shooting and a wreck that resulted in the death of three people in Tunica County, Mississippi.

Authorities say that Deonte Carnell Taylor was charged with three counts of capital murder, four counts of shooting into a motor vehicle, and four counts of conspiracy to commit a crime.

On November 10, three people were discovered deceased in a crashed vehicle on Casino Center Drive. The vehicle was burned and filled with bullet holes. Those who died have been named as 23-year-old Steven Burts, 24-year-old Deshun Isabell, and 25-year-old Tednequa Moore.

Because Moore was pregnant when she died, Taylor was charged with capital murder. In Mississippi, this charge could result in life in prison or the death penalty if found guilty.

Taylor was placed in the Tunica County Jail without bond.

An investigation is continuing, and more arrests could come later.
