A 17-year-old student has died after he was attacked by a group of 15 people, close to Rancho High School in Las Vegas, at the beginning of this month. Sources report that he had been defending a younger student who was being attacked by the group.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office noted that Jonathan Lewis died from injuries related to blunt force trauma.
Eight suspects, ages 13-17 years old, were apprehended and are expected to face murder charges. They were placed in the Clark County Juvenile Hall.
Authorities say that they are attempting to name two other people involved in the attack.
Calls were first made to 911 when someone discovered Jonathan unresponsive, and he was eventually administered aid.
Police say that the fight seemed to be over a stolen pair of headphones and a marijuana vape. It occurred after school had been done for the day.
An investigation is on-going.
Yes charge all of them for murder. These kids are out of control. No regards for human life.
