On Thursday, a Michigan teenager was found guilty of killing her father. She did so by throwing lye on him and burning him as he slept.

19-year-old Megan Imirowicz, of Groveland Township, was convicted of unlawful possession or use of harmful devices/irritants causing death and domestic violence. She could spend the rest of her life in prison when she is sentenced on July 25.

In October 2021, Imirowicz was apprehended after throwing the lye, a chemical drain cleaner, on her father 64-year-old Konrad Imirowicz, as he was sleeping. The man sustained chemical burns throughout his body and lived for five months prior to dying in March 2022 subsequent to being removed from life support.

It was reported that Megan was angry with her father because he was intoxicated and couldn’t take her to a hair appointment prior to a scheduled 18th birthday party.

While Konrad Imirowicz was in the hospital, his legs had to be amputated, he sustained multiple infections, and had to receive a tracheotomy, skin grafts, and kidney dialysis.
