A Florida teen was arrested after attempting to kill a man and keep his body in a closet to fulfill his sexual fantasies.
Logan Smith, 18, left a rubber mallet, an Axe deodorant can, and a bedsheet in his driveway and walked across the street. He waited behind a light pole for his victim, who routinely jogs down the street, to pass by. When the jogger passed by, Smith got behind him and used a belt to wrap around his victim’s neck and attempted to strangle him.
The victim, however, used his martial art skills to flip it around. He was able to restrict Smith and hold him down, preventing him from going anywhere. Law enforcement arrived and Smith was apprehended.
Smith confessed to his entire scheme when he was interrogated. He told officers he had been watching the victim for about six weeks. He explained that he had made the decision to kill the victim after watching a violent movie.
Smith said he was going to kill the victim by strangulation, and then drag his body into his home on the bedsheet. He would then use the mallet to strike the victim and the aerosol to spray his eyes to blind him. Smith then planned to place the victim’s body into his closet where he could have the victim’s body all to himself. He stated that he also planned to play with the victim to fulfill his sexual fantasies.
According to officers, the victim said he has never met, seen, or spoken to Smith.
Smith was charged with attempted murder and is being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.
