A teenager accused of fatally shooting a Sonic restaurant manager in July has been apprehended in Dallas and is set to face murder charges.
According to officials from the U.S. Marshals, 17-year-old Adiah Namir Roberson was taken into custody on Tuesday at an apartment complex in connection with the homicide that occurred on July 7.
This development marks a significant update in the ongoing investigation. San Antonio police have charged Roberson as the shooter in the incident that resulted in the death of Daniel Shrewsbury while he was working at the Sonic.
Authorities stated that the shooting was allegedly sparked by a dispute over counterfeit money.
Furthermore, Joshua Albert Joseph, the alleged getaway driver, was arrested back in August in San Antonio.
Roberson’s arrest followed a months-long investigation led by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, which comprises the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Bexar County District Attorney’s Office, and various other agencies.
