Charges have been filed against Richard Smith,18, for a fatal shooting in Houston on January 3, 2021.

Detectives learned that in 90 minutes, three different shooting incidents occurred.

Smith is suspected of shooting and injuring Faizon Nickerson, 22, during a car accident at 2:30pm. Sixty minutes later, he is suspected of shooting another man, Dejuan Davis, 18, on the 7100 block of Knox Street. Davis later succumbed to his wounds at a hospital.

An half an hour after that, Smith allegedly shot three men, Daniel Hosea, 53, Alcinda Holcomb, 47, and Larry Butler, 29, in the 8000 block of De Priest Street. Hosea later died from his wounds at a medical facility.

Detectives think that all three occurrences are connected.

After an investigation, it was determined that Smith was the assailant on the De Priest street shootings.

On October, 18, he was charged but was already incarcerated for another offense. Police continue to investigate other suspects in the three shootings.
