Gap has decided to team up with David Jamison’s school to create uniforms and Gap hoodies for kids.

Jamison, an educator from Memphis, initially went viral in 2019 for his innovative handshakes he does with kids when they enter his classroom.

“The Dope Educator,” as he is called, remembers the struggles he experienced because he did have any black male teachers growing up. He began to get into bad things.

Later in life, he decided to become a teacher so that he could make a positive impact on children.

He stated that the greetings show children they are important as a person not just  academically.

After observing Jamison in action, Gap decided to make a positive difference, as well.

In addition to the clothing, Gap will donate money to fashion programs at HBCU’s.
