Teacher Taken Into Custody After Sending Images To Student, Revealing Her Sex Organs

On Friday, a junior high school teacher in west Arkansas was apprehended after authorities learned that she had been involved in sexual indecency with a student. They say this was done by her sending and receiving nude images via Snapchat.

Kaytlann Barnes, 31, was apprehended at her residence in Fort Smith, Arkansas, after detectives found cause that she had been sending pictures and recordings, intentionally revealing her sex organs to a male student.

A 14-year-old boy at the school she worked at, Booneville Junior High School, had received the nude pictures over the course of two nights.

Records show that Barnes requested that the boy send nude images of himself, as well.

Officials say that Barnes is no longer employed with the Booneville School District.

She has been charged with sexual indecency with a child; producing, directing, or promoting a sexual performance by a child; unlawful use of a communication device; and computer child pornography.

After being placed in the Logan County Jail, Barnes was freed on Monday on a $25,000 bond.
