Cynthia Perkins is a 36-year-old ex-Louisiana teacher. She has pleaded guilty to committing “horrific crimes” against children. She confessed to giving her students cupcakes, containing sperm from her husband.
Cynthia Perkins also testified against 44-year-old Dennis Perkins. He is her now ex-husband and former SWAT officer. He has been charged with dozens of sex crimes against kids.
Cynthia claimed that Dennis manipulated her into committing the offenses.
Detectives say that they received a tip about the couple in 2019. A raid was conducted on their residence. Police found evidence, including a picture of the couple, nude with a child.
Documents also show that pictures of Perkins’ students eating the “semen-laced” cupcakes were also found.
Additionally, the couple was accused of raping a child that was between 9 and 10.
Cynthia Perkins has pleaded guilty to second-degree rape. Admitting to producing child porn and conspiracy mingling of harmful substances were also a part of the plea. She is expected to receive a 41-year sentence.
Cynthia was an English teacher at a junior high before she quit. She will learn of her sentence on Friday.
Dennis Perkins was terminated from his job as a special operations lieutenant. He awaits trial.
