A suspected drunk driver going the wrong way on a Houston tollway will be facing murder charges after a wrong way crash.
According to reports Houston Sheriff’s were transporting a DWI suspect into custody late Sunday night when they were struck head on by suspected drunk Patrick Njogu,39.
The two officers that were transporting the DWI suspect were taken to an area hospital where one officer suffered a broken foot and the other suffered head injuries but both in stable condition. The suspect they were transporting died Monday morning in the hospital.
Nojogu was also taken to a hospital with a broken leg but in stable condition. His blood alcohol was .23.
Nojogu has three prior DWI convictions in other states and may face intoxication assault of a peace officer.
