Four people are facing charges in relation to the $10,000 murder-for-hire scheme of a teenage girl. This came after she had reported that a man raped her.
17-year-old Isabella Scavelli went to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office in Florida on Feb. 6. She had stated that 36-year-old Lenard White had sexually battered her.
White is said to have paid 22-year-old Keshawn Woods and 21-year-old Sheldon Robinson to kill the teen.
On Feb. 7, Scavelli was shot four times and killed at her residence. The killing happened when two men knocked on the victim’s door and began shooting.
Scavelli’s mother was critically wounded in the occurrence.
White was considered to be a suspect following the report that was filed against him. Records show that he went on a excursion to Georgia the night the teen was killed.
K9 units were sent to the residence after the shooting. To add, a red Nike shoe with DNA belonging to Woods was found.
Records show that 21-year-old Robinson had sought help with the killing, offering $5,000 and cocaine as payment.
Woods accepted the offer. Later, $4,000 in cash, a gun, and illegal drugs were found in his home.
A search of Robinson’s home led to the discovery of the murder weapon and a box of 9mm rounds.
Janet Williams, Robinson’s mother, found the other $6,000 for the killing but didn’t report it. She has been charged with making a false report. Records show that she admitted to finding money when on a recorded call with her son. However, she had lied to authorities.
If found guilty, White, Robinson, and Woods could all receive life in prison or the death penalty.
