Suspect Charged In Connection With Gas Explosion At Highland Hills Apartment Complex

A warrant was obtained for a Dallas resident Tuesday in connection to the Highland Hills apartment explosion.
The incident happened on September 29 at 5850 Highland Hills Rd at the Highland Hills apartments.
During the preliminary investigation four Dallas firefighters were injured and three residents were injured.
As of October 19,2019 Dallas police Department Assaults Unit obtained 7 deadly conduct warrants for Mr. Phillip Dankins,28, associated with the explosion. It was said he allegedly shot into an apartment rupturing a gas line.
Dankins was already in custody at the Dallas County Jail on a Family Violence matter.
