A man is in custody facing aggravated assault charges after shooting a driver over the weekend.
On March 8 at 11:40 a.m., another motorist shot a driver in the northbound lanes of the 1800 block of S I-35E. The victim’s passenger provided law enforcement with a detailed description of the suspect and their vehicle. The driver received treatment at a local hospital and was released shortly afterward.
Later that day, Lewisville Police located the suspect. Detectives secured a warrant for the arrest of Brandon L. Dorrough on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. With help from the North Texas Regional SWAT Team, Dorrough was apprehended without incident in the 400 block of W. Round Grove Rd.
He was booked into Lewisville City Jail with a bond set at $100,000 before being transferred to Denton County Jail.
