A man has been arrested on murder charges in connection with the deaths of his father and brother in Wise County.
On November 20, police were called to perform a welfare check at 211 County Road 4874 in Newark after relatives expressed concern over not hearing from the residents since November 17. When officers arrived, they observed two vehicles belonging to the homeowners in the driveway, but there was no response when they knocked on the door.
Upon entering the residence, officers discovered two deceased men, later identified as 64-year-old William Struble and 29-year-old Martin Struble. They also found another man, 32-year-old William Struble III, who had suffered stab wounds.
William Jr. was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently taken into custody for the murders of his brother and father. He is additionally facing two charges of tampering with evidence related to human remains. He is currently being held in custody with a bond set at $1 million.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the fatal stabbings, which they believe were triggered by a domestic dispute among those involved.
