Ayanna Davis, a 20-year-old former substitute teacher at Lakeland High School, in Florida, has been charged with sexual battery. This comes after a recording is said to have captured her engaging in sexual activities with a student.
It is alleged that Davis, and the student who is younger than 16, had unprotected sex four different times. The incidents happened twice at her residence and twice at the student’s home, the Polk County Sherriff’s office stated.
On one instance, a video of the act, on Snapchat, was provided to the football players to view. That’s when a student disclosed this information to a school resource officer which started an investigation.
Davis has been charged with two counts of of sexual battery by custodian and offenses against students by an authority figure from county warrants. Additionally, she faces two charges of sexual battery by the Lakeland Police Department.
Authorities noted that after questioning Davis, her responses were similar to what the victim had stated.
