According to new studies couples should wear face masks during sexual activity to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 during this pandemic.
The study comes from three research students at Harvard University who say hooking up carries its risk of spreading COVID from one partner to the next.
The researchers recommend couples have sex with quarantined partners if they must do it and if your partner is not quarantined with you take extra precautions like showering before and after sex, wiping down and disinfecting the areas, wearing masks and no kissing or oral sex.
Studies show the safest way is abstinence if possible.
Although the Coronavirus transmissibility hasn’t been rigorously studied we do know that it’s a highly contagious respiratory illness that spreads through cough, sneezes and saliva.
