Agostina Rubini Medina, a 24 year old student, is believed to have tragically died after being crushed in a garbage truck and subsequently incinerated, following her fall into a trash bin..

According to the National Police of Spain Medina had been missing for over two weeks after disappearing during a night out with friends in Majorca.

Authorities believed that Medina was intoxicated and may have fallen into a garbage bin while trying to retrieve something, possibly her cellphone, before losing consciousness. It is presumed that she was collected with the trash, crushed in the truck’s compactor, and ultimately disposed of in an incinerator.

A shop employee near a bus stop on Medina’s route home reported seeing the visibly intoxicated student buying a bag of chips just before midnight. Shortly after, a witness noted that her handbag and blouse were neatly placed next to a large trash bin.

Tracking data revealed that Medina’s phone remained at that location for about half an hour before it moved to the incineration plant, where it lost signal. This timeline aligns with the garbage truck’s travel records.

Later, police discovered human skeletal remains among the ashes at the incinerator plant and are currently investigating whether they belong to Medina. They also mentioned that Medina, described as a slender woman with a low alcohol tolerance, was on medication that could have contributed to her losing consciousness.

This investigation remains ongoing.
