Governor Inslee demanded that all healthcare workers and state employees get vaccinated against the Coronavirus by October 18, 2021.

LaMay stood his ground and refused to get vaccinated. “This is my final signoff…I’m being asked to leave because I am dirty. This is the last time you’ll hear me in my patrol car. And Jay Inslee can kiss my a–,” he stated in a video that had gone viral.

LaMay received alot of support on social media at the time he was forced to quit because of the mandate.

“Heartbreaking. 20 years of experience is not replaceable,” one user commented.

Before leaving his job, LaMay had worked on the police force for 22 years. He was an armorer, certified reconstructionist, and a drug recognition expert.
