Jason Jeschor, 43, has been accused of killing his father and tampering with evidence, in Mesa, Arizona.
Authorities say that on the early morning of April 1, Mesa police responded to a call about a welfare check on a man.
Documents show that the father was going to his son’s house on March 31 to take the defendant to the store but never went back home.
Numerous attempts were made to get in touch with the victim and his son.
As officers began to force their way into the residence to perform a welfare check, Jeschor opened the door and walked out as he was instructed to.
When officers questioned the son, he said that his father and another ‘dude’ had been threatening him. He then confessed to killing his father, police say.
Jeschor also added that his father wouldn’t pay for his groceries after Jeschor said that he didn’t have enough money on his debit card while at the store.
Jeschor confessed to stabbing his father with a spear-like object that someone had made. The father was killed inside of Jeschor’s residence, and the son moved his dead body and cleaned up the blood afterward.
Records note that Jeschor showed no remorse for the killing and believed that he had a right to kill his father.
Jeschor currently has a $1 million cash-only bond.
