Soccer Coach Charged After Recordings Of Him Drugging And Raping Boys Were Discovered On His Cellphone

Camilo Hurtado Campos, a soccer coach from Franklin, Tennessee, was apprehended after shocking recordings of young boys who were drugged and sexually abused were found on his cell phone. Campos had accidentally left the phone inside of a restaurant when employees had found it.

Reports have indicated that much of the footage found depicted Campos sexually assaulting unconscious boys that were ages 9 to 17 years old.

The 63-year-old, popular coach is said to have acquired his victims by getting them to go to local playgrounds and getting them to join his team.

Once Campos had gotten the boys to trust him, he would take them back to his residence and rape them, authorities say.

When combing through Campos’s phone, police discovered at least 10 children that had been sexually assaulted. Authorities have been able to identify two of those children. They added that because they were drugged, some of the children may not be aware that they were sexually assaulted.

Campos is now in custody and has been charged with rape of a child and sexual exploitation of a minor.

More charges may follow as an investigation is on-going.
