Shoplifter Discharges Bear Spray On Walmart Employees

3.1kviews

On Sunday, at a Walmart in Colorado, an alleged shoplifter, Vince Joe Pacheco, discharged bear spray on employees.

At around 1:30 p.m, police responded to a call about the spray. It was so chaotic, many callers believed there was an active shooter.

However, authorities determined that no weapon was involved. Investigators say that a 29 year-old man was trying to steal when workers tried stop him. He began to tussle with three of them and deployed the bear spray.

When a 70 year-old got involved, the shoplifter hit him in the head. The can then “ruptured and contaminated the store,” the Greeley Police Department stated.

The suspect supposedly left the scene and traveled to a store close by to wash his face.

If a person is exposed to bear spray, it may cause the eyes, nose, throat, or lungs to become irritated.

Several workers and customers were attended to by first responders at the scene after inhaling the spray.

The suspect was later found at a home and arrested, charged with three counts of assault, aggravated robbery, and theft.
