Shooting On Southland Street Leaves Juvenile Dead

Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a juvenile deceased Tuesday afternoon.

On January 30, around 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call on the 2500 block of Southland Street.

Upon arriving they found a 15 year old male at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

While investigating officers learned that a 16 year old male had been shot and was also responsible for the shooting. He was treated for non life threatening injuries and taken into custody.

He has been charged with capital murder.
