Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead on the sidewalk Wednesday.
Officers responded to a shooting on the 100 block of South Jim Miller Rd.
Upon arrival they noticed a man suffering from gunshot wounds on the sidewalk.
He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect fled the scene before officers could arrive.
This investigation is ongoing.
