Dallas officers responded to a shooting call in the 7300 block of Umphress Road. They met with a victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
According to a witness, the victim and the suspect were engaged in a verbal altercation when the suspect produced a weapon and shot the victim.
The suspect fled in a white colored SUV. The victim was transported to Baylor Hospital.
