Mississippi police are investigating a shooting at a New Year’s Eve party that left 3 people dead and 4 others injured.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 11:58pm on the 1200 block of Lewis Avenue Friday night.
Upon arrival they found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All of the victims were transported to area hospitals where three men were pronounced dead.
The victims were identified as Corey Dubose,23 of D’Iberville, Sedrick McCord,28 of Gulfport, and Aubrey Lewis,22 of Bay St. Louis.
Two other male victims and a female victim were treated for non life threatening injuries and released. A seventh male victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
According to reports, a fight broke out at a New Year’s Eve party between a group of people. Shots were fired and the suspect(s) fled the scene before officers could arrive.
At this time the suspect remains at large. This investigation remains ongoing.
