U.S. runner and Dallas’s very own, Sha’Carri Richardson, received a silver medal in the women’s 100 meters Saturday at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred took home the gold with a time of 10.72 seconds while Richardson received the silver medal with a time of 10.87 and U.S.’s Melissa Jefferson received the bronze with a time of 10.92.
This is Richardson’s first Olympic race after being disqualified from the Tokyo Olympics for failing a marijuana drug test in 2021.
Alfred took home the first medal in the history of Saint Lucia.
