The homes of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were both vandalized over the weekend, just days after the $2000 stimulus was not approved.
According to reports vandals left messages like, “Weres my money” on the front door of his Kentucky home and porch along with other vulgar comments.
Authorities believe this was a response to McConnell’s blockage of the $2000 stimulus check.
McConnell posted a statement saying, “ I’ve spent my career fighting for the First Amendment and defending peaceful protest. I appreciate every Kentuckian who has engaged in the democratic process whether they agree with me or not. Vandalism and the politics of fear have no place in our society.”
“My wife and I have never been intimidated by this toxic playbook. We just hope our neighbors in Louisville aren’t too inconvenienced by this radical tantrum.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco home was also vandalized over the weekend with messages reading “cancel rent” written all over her garage door.
