A security guard was killed Monday morning while servicing an atm at Neighborhood Credit Union in Dallas.
Officers responded to a robbery/ shooting on the 1500 block of Cockrell Hill Rd.
Upon arrival they located a man laying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to witnesses the security guard who was later identified as Jose Montes,28.
He was servicing an ATM at a local Credit Union when a male suspect wearing a black jacket with the word POLICE written on the back.
The suspect approached Montes with a rifle and demanded property.
He then shot the victim and took a duffle bag out of the vehicle.
The suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a white Volkswagen Passat.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This investigation is ongoing.
