Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left a security guard dead late Friday night.
According to reports they responded to a call regarding a shooting at a CVS Pharmacy on the 1400 block of Main Street, around 11 p.m.
Upon arriving they found the security guard, 39 year old Anthony Egeonu, on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to reports two juveniles, ages 15 and 13, were shoplifting when the security guard approached them. There was a confrontation and one of the suspects pulled out a gun and opened fire striking the guard.
Both juveniles fled the scene before officers could arrive but were later arrested and taken into custody.
This investigation is ongoing.
