Security Guard Charged In Connection With The Fatal XTC Cabaret Shooting

A security involved in the fatal shooting of Shalonda Anderson has been arrested and charged with 3 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Sterlin Hammett, 30 was at XTC Cabaret on June 25 when an altercation turned deadly in the parking lot.

Officers responded to the scene at 8550 N. Stemmons Freeway shortly after 5 a.m..

Upon arrival they found Anderson suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.

During investigation it was determined that a 26 year old female security guard fatally shot Anderson after being hit by the vehicle.

This investigation still remains ongoing.
