13-year-olds Jefferson and Josue Perez went missing, close to 4:30 p.m., on Sunday. The boys had just moved from Honduras to Houston and were excited about visiting the beach.

The boys’ parents had last observed them in chest-high water, near Pleasure Pier in Galveston, Texas.

The United States Coast Guard and other agencies searched for the teens.

On Tuesday, four individuals located a body close to the shoreline, retrieved it, and contacted authorities. It was then found that it was one of the twin boy’s bodies based off of his clothing.

Then, on Thursday, around 1 a.m., someone else walking on the shoreline found another body.

First responders arrived to the location, and the teen was named as the remaining twin that had been missing.

Authorities say that no one had witnessed the boys go under water.
