School District In Texas Closes After Two Teachers Die of COVID-19

1.8kviews

Connally Independent School District has shut down its five suburban Waco schools until after Labor Day. This comes after two teachers have passed away from COVID-19 last week.

On Saturday, 41 year-old Natalia Chansler, a sixth grade social studies teacher at Connally Junior High, died. A few days prior to this, 59 year-old David McCormick, a seventh grade social studies teacher at Connally Junior High, died.

It is unknown whether either teacher had been vaccinated.

Since August 18, there have been 51 cases of the virus on that campus. More cases have been confirmed in recent days. It is not known if any of these recent cases are linked back to Chansler.

“..the closure and holiday break will provide those who are positive with the virus or exposed to others with the virus, the time to isolate and recover. This closure will also allow time for deep cleaning and sanitizing…,” stated Superintendent Wesley Holt.

But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?
