History was made as the Las Vegas Raiders named Sandra Douglass Morgan their team’s president.
She is the first black woman in NFL history to hold that title.
Morgan is one of three women to ever become an NFL team president. She joins Kristi Coleman of the Carolina Panthers and Kim Pegula of the Buffalo Bills.
Raiders owner Mark Davis said, “I am thrilled that Sandra has agreed to join the Raiders family. Her experience, integrity and passion for this community will be invaluable to our organization. From the moment I met Sandra, I knew she was a force to be reckoned with. We are extremely lucky to have her at the helm.”
Last year Morgan was named as the vice chair of Las Vegas’ host committee for Super Bowl LVIII.
Super Bowl LVIII will be played in Las Vegas in February 2024.
