Rockwall High School’s Head Football Coach Accepts Coaching Position At Denton Guyer

Rockwall’s head football coach and campus athletics coordinator since 2013 Rodney Webb has accepted the head coach position at Denton Guyer.
Joey Florence, who is Guyer’s athletic director reached out to Coach Webb not long after their heads football coach John Walsh resigned on March 16.




Webb led Rockwall’s football team to the 2019 Class 6A Division I State Finals and is is also the president for the Texas High School Coaches Association.
Rockwall reached its first semifinal since 1987 where they lost against Duncanville High school.
Guyer’s athletic director and a few others officially offered Webb the position as head football coach and athletics coordinator last week and he was announced as Denton Guyer’s new head coach Monday morning.
