Rockwall City Councilman was arrested on possession of child pornography charges Thursday afternoon.
On April 13 the Center For Missing and Exploited children contacted Rockwall police about several videos of possible child pornography being sent from an IP address in Rockwall from an online app called KIK.
Detectives looked into the tip and found the IP address was linked to a residence in Rockwall on the 600 block of Parks Ave and that the IP address was also linked to a name at the residence.
Rockwall later obtained a search warrant to search for more evidence and went to the residence on April 23 and found images of child porn on a smart phone in the possession of and belonging to Patrick Allen Trowbridge,52.
Trowbridge was taken into custody and charged with Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography.
He also holds 6 place on the council and was elected in May of 2018.
