Relatives Have 13-Year-Old Boy Surrender To Police For The Murder Of A 20-Year-Old Man
Authorities say that a 13-year-old boy was said to have fatally shot a 20-year-old man at the beginning of this month.
Detectives say that they answered to a call close to McGregor and Colquitt streets in LaGrange, Georgia, on April 19.
They then discovered Davaris Lindsey with several gunshots injuries. He passed away two days following that.
Now, authorities say that 13-year-old Jayden Gunsby was apprehended on Monday evening and will be charged as an adult for murder.
“We got a call from the family. It was orderly. There was a lot of emotions and a lot of family support,” stated a representative from the Troup County NAACP, who helped the teen surrender to police.
Although a cause for the killing isn’t known or what the relationship between the two was, it is known that the two were familiar with each other. Additionally, officials say that others were involved in the incident, as well.
Police are currently searching for another suspect, and an investigation is continuing.
