Authorities in Red Oak, Texas, are requesting the public’s assistance in finding more suspects in a murder that occurred in the city on August 22, 2023, at about 11 p.m., in the 200 block of Troy Lane.

That night, authorities were called to a shooting and discovered a young black male, Christian Claycomb, with multiple gunshot injuries to his chest and arms.

Claycomb was later declared deceased at a medical facility.

Authorities learned that the shooting occurred as a marijuana transaction, that Claycomb set up.

Claycomb and another individual had been waiting on Troy Lane for the delivery when a black Dodge Charger pulled up to the location.

When two men walked up to the car, shots were fired, and the Charger fled the scene toward Cole Rd.

Detectives discovered evidence at the crime scene, including the victim’s cell phone.

While combing through audio and video recordings from that evening and information in the cell phone, 22-year KamRon Wilson, of Red Oak, was named as one of the suspects.

On December 8, 2023, Wilson was apprehended for murder and placed in the Ellis County Jail.

Authorities are searching for more suspects as the investigation is continuing.

Anyone with details about the murder is urged to contact Detective J. Merrick at 469-218-7702 or kaktx.org.
